“Falling in Love”
Psalm 103
My infatuation with love songs and romance movies began long, long ago. Believe it or not, my infatuation with “love” began as a teenager in youth group when the minister announced one of the best topics of all times, in my opinion at least. She said, “Tonight, we will learn about three different types of love.” I couldn’t imagine a subject more popular for a teenage girl than “love”. I’m telling you, I was all ears for this subject. We learned three different Greek words for love and each word represented a unique and different type of love. First was Philia, which is a friendship type of love. Second was Eros, which could be described as “love at first sight”. The last type was Agape. Agape is an unconditional love. This is the type of love God has for us, His children. This is the love that covers us and a love that does not end.
Psalm 103: 17 – 18
But the Lord’s faithful love is from forever ago to forever from now for those who honor him. And God’s righteousness reaches to the grandchildren of those who keep his covenant and remember to keep his commands.

Learning of God’s constant and sure love inspired me to write a love song to Him. My very first single, called “Falling In Love”, begins by telling God He is the apple of my eye and He is the One who keeps or protects my heart. I think this is the Eros love. But my love for God has grown deeper as I have matured. As the love song continues, it moves into describing an Agape type of love; a deeply rooted love that develops within an intimate relationship with God. I am changed forever because of the love of Jesus Christ. The song ends by saying I will live for Him, I will share my testimony, and my heart is set on obeying Him because I adore Him.
“Falling In Love”, the single by Karla Nivens will be available for digital download on September 16th.
